Manchester United target Koke, who was wanted by the club during the January transfer window, claims he is ‘happy’ to continue his football with Atletico Madrid, but would consider a potential move in the future.
Koke was frequently linked with a transfer to Manchester United during the winter period, although the player’s £50 million release clause with Atletico appeared to pose some problems for last season’s Premier League champions.
It remains unclear if Manchester United manager David Moyes will revive his attempts to bring Koke to Old Trafford when the summer transfer window opens at the end of the season, but the Spain international is content with Atletico.
"I am happy here but in some years, who knows,” Koke told Marca.
Koke has been in exceptional form for Atletico this season, as Diego Simeone’s side continue to rival Barcelona and Real Madrid for the Spanish league title. Only three points separate Real Madrid in first and Atletico in third, with Barcelona a point shy of Los Blancos.
One of the key performers for Atletico has been Koke, with the 22-year-old having scored five goals and provided 10 assists in La Liga.
