David Moyes will be given £200million in the summer to reconstruct Manchester United’s faltering squad at the end of the season and the Scotsman has identified Lallana and Shaw as potential targets.
Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra is out of contract at the end of the season and could be tempted into returning to former side Monaco or Ligue 1 moneybags Paris Saint-Germain.
Moyes will have to beat off competition from Chelsea and Manchester City to land the 18-year-old full-back, however the prospect of playing week-in, week-out for the Premier League champions could make Manchester United favourites to land Shaw.
Man of the moment Lallana is also said to be on Moyes’ summer wish list after putting in a number of dazzling performances for both Southampton and England in recent weeks.
Moyes has identified his midfield as one of his side’s major weaknesses, so will be looking to splash the majority of his cash on rebuilding his engine room.
Lallana’s versatility will make him the perfect signing for Manchester United as the 25-year-old can play on either wing or in a three-man midfield.
