CAF Champions League: Round of 32 round-up

The second legs of the round of 32 of the 2014 CAF Champions League were completed on Sunday, with defending champions of the competition -Al Ahly- qualifying for the round of 16 by the skin of their teeth with a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Tanzanian side Young Africans after a 1-1 aggregate draw in Alexandria.

Experienced left-back Saed Moawad scored the only goal of the game for Ahly but goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy was the hero for the Egyptians as he saved a sudden-death penalty to make sure his club advance to the next round of the competition.

Al Ahly will now meet Libya's Al Ahly Benghazi who eliminated Ghana's Berekum Chelsea in the round of 16.

2010 FIFA Club World Cup finalists TP Mazembe comfortably beat Cameroon's Les Astres 3-0 to win 4-1 on aggregate to set up a round of 16 tie with Ivory Coast champions Sewe Sport de San Pedro.

Esperance Tunis will take on Kenya's Gor Mahia in Rades later today and the winner of this game will be awarded a round of 16 tie with AS Real Bamako of Mali. Esperance won the first leg 3-2.
