Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini was pleased with his performance in the 3-0 victory over Premier League strugglers West Brom on Saturday.
The Belgian international has been the subject of some harsh criticism from United fans all throughout this season following his move from Everton last summer.
Some supporters have made their views very clear as to Fellaini’s use in the side, but the Belgian felt he personally put in a good shift against the Baggies, and that his partnership with fellow holding player Michael Carrick was strong.
“I enjoy playing with Michael. I know he’ll sit back if I go to the edge of the box to try to score,” Fellaini told reporters.
But despite the improved performance, Fellaini was quick to highlight the importance of taking this result into the final games of the season.
“Everyone is happy today. The team played well and that is good for confidence. We have to keep going like this in the next game,” he added.
Moyes’s United side go into next week looking to overturn a 2-0 deficit in the Champions League against Greek outfit Olympiakos.
