Manchester United star edges closer to Valencia switch

Published 2 Comments

The agent of Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is attempting to broker a deal to take the unsettled Mexican to Valencia, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

It's been revealed that Russian Premier League outfit Rubin Kazan were close to signing Hernandez last month after making a €10m offer for his services, but United officials pulled out of the deal before negotiations were concluded.

However, it's reported that Jorge Mendes is keen to strike a deal with La Liga outfit Valencia, who are believed to be keen on the Mexico international.

Hernandez has grown increasingly disillusioned with life at Old Trafford following another frustrating campaign with the Red Devils.

The livewire striker has made just four Premier League starts this season and has dropped several hints about his unhappiness via social media.

It's currently unclear whether Manchester United will be open to offers for Hernandez this summer, although much could depend on the future of Robin van Persie.

The Dutchman is also reportedly unhappy with life under David Moyes - and would even be open to the idea of rejoining former club Arsenal in order to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Should Manchester United sell Hernandez? Would the Mexican flourish at Valencia? Have your say in the comments section below.
