LeBron James has finally given a debut to his latest Nike shoe after being frustrated with the early prototypes. James had wanted to wear the Nike LeBron 11 Elite as long ago as December, but they were sent back to the lab for some ‘redefining’ with the Miami Heat star not entirely happy with the product.

James told ESPN.com at the time that he was frustrated at not being able to lace up his LeBron 11 Elite as they did not feel ‘as great’ as he wanted. But now, three months on, the new Nikes have been seen on the court of the first time.

Miami Heat took on the Chicago Bulls on Sunday night with LeBron wearing his shiny new Nike shoes, and there appeared to be no sign of the discomfort that was causing a concern at the back end of last year.

It was, however, an inauspicious start for the LeBron 11 Elite has the Heat crashed to a third successive defeat, with James scoring only 17 points as the Bulls got the win by 95-88 at the United Center, Chicago.

The Heat’s previous two defeats came against the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs, and the reigning NBA champions are under pressure to revive their fortunes against the Washington Wizards on Monday.
