Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marce-Andre ter Stegen will leave the German outfit for a 'foreign club', it has been confirmed.
Monchengladbach revealed earlier today that they had reached an agreement to sign goalkeeper Yann Sommer from Basel - the clearest indication yet that Ter Stegen was on his way out of the club.
Now his club has confirmed that an agreement has been reached for his departure.
Borussia sporting director Max Eberl said: After Marc-Andre ter Stegen informed us that he definitely wants to leave at end of season, we have now reached an agreement with his new club on the transfer arrangements.
"He will move abroad."
Both Arsenal and Barcelona have been linked with a move for the German youngster in the past.
Arsenal are said to have targeted Ter Stegen in order to provide competition for Wojciech Szczesny between the posts.
Barcelona meanwhile have the task of replacing out-going 'keeper Victor Vales, who confirmed last year that he would leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season.
While it has not been confirmed whether his destination is either Arsenal or Barcelona, it appears more likely to be the latter.
