Manchester United to compete with Arsenal for £25m ace

Manchester United are interested in bringing Arsenal target Alvaro Morata to Old Trafford in the summer.

ESPN suggest Manchester United will rival Arsenal in the race to sign the 21-year-old starlet.

There is a big possibility that David Moyes is going to be in the market for a new striker at the end of the season as Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez could both seal moves away from the club in the summer.

A host of Premier League clubs have been sniffing around Morata - with Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal all reportedly keen on signing the Spaniard.

Arsenal were heavily linked with Morata in January but were unable to agree a deal with giants Real Madrid.

However the La Liga giants could choose to cash in on Morata during the summer transfer window as the £25million-rated forward's contract is due to expire in 2015.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are likely to want to cash in on the striker - rather than risk losing him on a free at the end of his current deal.

Morata has scored three goals in 15 games for Real Madrid so far this season.
