Hello and welcome to the GiveMeSport – Social Report. Where we have a look at the weekend’s social media best bits!

We start with the rugby where England triumphed over Wales 29-18. And after the game Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick joined in on the celebrations with the England team and some great selfie’s were posted on social media.

The defending FA Cup Champions managed to pull off an epic 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday. With the Man of the Match Emerson Boyce posing with the Budweiser magnum on the team bus.

In Athletics it was the start of the IAAF World indoor Championships in Poland, and British star Katarina Johnson-Thompson stepped up to take her first senior medal in the long jump.

Moving on to Sports brands now. Adidas challenged their top athletes to do something with their energy boost trainers; it’s like a sports version of the viral neck nominations but without the alcohol and stupidity.

And finally, Adidas & Nike have both introduced what they believe to be a game-changing boot, an all in one sock and boot! Adidas have called theirs the primeknit FS and Nike the Magista. Let us know which one you think is better?

That's all for this week, send us in your pictures or videos to us and we’ll pick the best ones to show them in the next show.
