Antoine Bethea took to Twitter today to confirm his move from the Indianapolis Colts to the San Francisco 49ers.

The free safety first tweeted his thanks to Colts fans, before showing his excitement for the challenge ahead:

"Glad to be a Niner!! Going to the Bay!!!", the player wrote on the social media site less than n hour into free agency.

Bethea was been to two Pro Bowls since joining the league in 2006 and also has a Super Bowl ring to his name from his time with the Colts.

He will now link up with John Harbaugh in San Francisco however and will hope to play a part in their challenge for the Super Bowl next season.

Last season Bethea made two interceptions and racked up 110 tackles in his 16 appearances.

The move is just one of many which have taken place in the immediate aftermath of 2014 free agency being declared open for business and with NFL teams desperately trying to bring in talent (and players looking for big money) the pace doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon.
