Fabian Tello has just scored one of the greatest solo goals we may ever see. Playing for Ecuador U-16's vs Paraguay U-16's, the young South American beat eight opposition players before rounding the goalkeeper to slot the ball home.
So, this may not be the highest level of world football but he has started a debate - was that the greatest competitive solo goal we have ever seen?
Lionel Messi would have something to say about that. His portfolio of individual brilliance seems endless and the Argentinian magician is regarded by many as the greatest footballer of all time. As this video shows, Messi has been doing this continuously for years.
The original Argentinian master, Diego Maradona, would also have something to say in this debate. He scored this wonder goal against England in the World Cup. This was a goal scored at the highest level and the speed at which he continues to move is impressive. Maradona went on to score a goal with 'the hand of God' in the same game, but that's another debate for another day!
When you're talking about solo goals, you have to include this piece of brilliance from George Best. He twists and turns, leaving defenders in his dust. This was towards the end of Best's sterling career and he was one of the greatest players to have graced a football pitch.
Another Manchester United legend and dribbling expert was Ryan Giggs. With Manchester United down to 10 men and drawing in the second leg of an FA cup tie against arch rivals Arsenal in 1999, Giggs decided to turn the game on it's head with this superb solo effort which began in his own half. This was a defining moment in Manchester United's treble winning season.
There is one man in modern day football who would most certainly have his say in this debate - Zlatan Ibrahimovic. There is no doubting his credentials as he delivered a masterpiece in close control and technique against NAC Breda. Would you dare to rule out Zlatan?
There have been a number of top quality, innovative, technical, solo goals scored over the years at all different levels. But the question is, which goal should be considered the greatest solo effort of all time?
