Floyd Mayweather allegedly orchestrated a savage attack on two of his employees suspected of stealing jewellery from the American boxer’s house in Las Vegas, according to reports.

TMZ have been informed by sources that Mayweather, the undefeated WBC welterweight champion, left the two men were severe injuries - including broken arms and legs - after agreeing to meet them at an off-site location along with a number of his “people”.

Mayweather is believed to have pointed the finger at the two men after discovering that the jewellery had gone missing from his home, before organising to meet them and carrying out the attack several weeks ago. However, TMZ claim that the two men were adamant they were not to blame - and that Mayweather now believes their account to be true.

Still, if TMZ sources are to correct, the attack may amount of attempted murder, mayhem and kidnapping. And it’s reported that the two victims of the alleged assault have retained a lawyer.

Mayweather is currently in training ahead of the big-money fight against Marcos Maidana at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 3. But, if these latest reports are accurate, will the pound-for-pound king be permitted to participate?

That remains to be seen - but this developing story is certainly one to keep an eye out for over the coming weeks and months.
