English rapper and singer Example believes the Three Lions can pull off a miracle at the World Cup in Brazil, and has praised the managerial abilities of Roy Hodgson.
The musician is an avid fan of Fulham and despite their dismal performance in the Premier League this year, he has fond memories of Hodgson who managed the club from 2007-10, and also led them to the Europa League final.
With expectations high as England prepare for the summer's tournament, Example is hopeful that his nation can spring a surprise and expects them to qualify for the quarter-finals at the very least.
"I think we’ll definitely get to the quarter-finals," he told FIFA.com.
"With Roy Hodgson, you just think he’s maybe going to pull a miracle off.
"I think over the last two decades, he’s easily one of the best managers we’ve had and I think when England have failed in the past it hasn’t necessarily been the players – a lot of the time it’s been the managers being a bit clueless.
"The squad is not the strongest by any means, but it’s in the top ten I’d say. You just never know with England do you?"
Despite his loyalties to England, the 31-year-old has admitted that it's hard to look beyond the hosts for the World Cup and says he wouldn't be surprised if they do it in style.
"I can’t really look past Brazil in Brazil," he added
"You could go for Spain as well but I just think with Brazil on their own turf, with the home fans – they’re the best fans in the world.
"With their climate they’re always out playing with friends and family and they’re all showboaters, so I think they’re going to turn it on as if they’re having a kickabout down the local park – I think they’ll win it with style."
