Will Handanovic leave Inter this summer?.

Manchester United could sign Inter Milan star for €20m

Manchester United or Manchester City could sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic for €20million this summer, as Walter Mazzarri looks to promote on-loan Livorno star Francesco Bardi as his number one next season.

According to Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport, the Slovenia international will be allowed to leave San Siro when the transfer window reopens, providing the Serie 'A' club receives an offer that matches their valuation of the player.

Red Devils boss David Moyes is blessed with a talented stopper in David De Gea, but with question marks surrounding the future of Anders Lindegaard, Handanovic could be approached for a move to Old Trafford.

Manuel Pellegrini has also been mooted as an admirer of the 29-year-old, as he finds himself in a similar situation with uncertainties over back-up goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon, who could leave the Etihad Stadium in pursuit of more regular football as he continues to play second fiddle to Joe Hart at Manchester City.

Atletico Madrid are also understood to be monitoring Handanovic's situation closely, as Diego Simeone begins his search for a replacement for Thibaut Courtois, who is expected to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.
