Young Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti is the subject of interest from Manchester United and AC Milan according to Italian site TuttoMercatoweb.

With both Manchester United and AC Milan looking at a summer overhaul, both clubs have been assessing the young frenchman. Tottenham fans will remember Samuel Umtiti's wonder-strike against them in the Europa League in February of last year and he is now being touted as potential replacement for Patrice Evra in the United back-line.

Umtiti is a versatile defender able to play at centre-back and left-back, and has been acknowledged by French publication Mercato365 as a possible replacement for Philippe Mexes or Matias Silvestre at AC Milan in the summer.

It has been reported that Italian giants sent an envoy to watch the French U21 international in Lyon's recent 2-1 victory over Bordeaux.

Although no figure has been mentioned, the defender's contract expires in June 2017 and it's rumoured he would be available for under £10million.
