Top 5: Worst ever NFL free agency signings (1)

Published Add your comment

It's free agency time in the NFL and the money is flying everywhere as teams that to get that one player they believe can turn their fortunes around.

Darrelle Revis has been given $12million for one years work by the New England Patriots. Jairus Byrd has been handed a lovely $60 million by New Orleans for the next six years of his career and even a number two receiver like Eric Decker has been given go to guy money by the New York Jets.

It truly is silly season and NFL franchises have already forked out over $300,000,000 in new contracts just three days into free agency, with plenty more deals set to come.

So in honour of this time of the year lets go back through Pro Football history and look at the truly most stupid deals ever handed out to free agents that took their money and completely bombed.

You may want to look away Redskins fans, it's not pretty viewing.
