Stone Cold Steve Austin could well be making his return to the Wrestling universe.
The Attitude Era great, and according to Vince McMahon the most profitable superstar in wrestling history is about to return to WWE for the first time since his showing as a special guest referee in 2011 during which he delivered a stunner to The Miz and Michael Cole before celebrating with John Cena.
The company has been trying to think of a storyline for the biggest star in the history of the business, and have pitched to Austin the idea of him being at Mania in a non-wrestling role.
WWE are set to release a new line of merchandise at WrestleMania for Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker and Austin, but Stone Cold is the only one who is yet to have been found a role in the event, according to the Wrestling Observer.
The Undertaker is set to try and continue the streak vs Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan will be hosting the show and The Ultimate Warrior is getting inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The original plan was for Austin to have a feud and eventually fight with Triple H, but that was thrown out of the window and they are trying to come up with a new angle with just weeks to go before the event.
