Manchester United coach Phil Neville was among interested spectators looking to find the next Southampton star on Monday night.

The former full-back was joined by people from a clutch of clubs looking to see who might be the next future star off the south coast conveyor belt, and it was Lloyd Isgrove who made the biggest impression, according to The Daily Mail.

Isgrove, a Welsh U21 international winger, has just joined Peterborough United on a month-long loan deal in Sky Bet League One.

And, top clubs could be making their way to London Road to check on the 21-year-old's progress in competitive football.

Manchester United were renowned for bringing top young players to Old Trafford during Sir Alex Ferguson's reign at Old Trafford.

However, struggles in the transfer market under new boss David Moyes could make things a little different, and it remains to be seen if the Premier League champions have the pulling power they once did.

With defender Luke Shaw also linked with a move to Manchester United, it could be a busy summer of negotiations between the two clubs - if Neville was suitably impressed.
