Manchester United winger Nani has given David Moyes a major fitness boost ahead of a crucial week for the Premier League champions.

Portugal international Nani, who has not played for Manchester United since the beginning of December due to a hamstring injury, could be fit to feature against Liverpool on Sunday as he has returned to first-team training.

The former Sporting Lisbon wideman could also be included in Moyes' 18-man squad to face
Greek side Olympiakos on Wednesday.

Nani will be desperate to return to the Manchester United fold in the next week or so after missing just over three months of the season.

The 27-year-old, who signed a new five-year deal in September, needs to hit the ground running when he does make a comeback to first-team action.

Nani will be hoping to get some game-time under his belt for this summer's World Cup in Brazil, where he is expected to play a major role alongside former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo in helping Paulo Bento's progress to the later stages of the competition.

The winger could also be playing for his Manchester United future as Moyes is expected to make wholesale changes to his side at the end of the season.
