The upcoming appearance of CM Punk on AMC's 'The Talking Dead' has left some in the WWE feeling bitter and uncertain, reports suggest.

According to reports from PWInsider Elite cited by WrestlingInc.com, the bitterness comes from some who feel that if he can go to Los Angeles to appear on television, then he could have appeared in his hometown Chicago when the WWE rolled into town last week.

Additionally, it would appear that some people are even left feeling slightly uncertain about what he could potentially say about the WWE - if indeed he speaks about it at all.

36-year-old Punk - real name Phillip Jack Brooks - is one of the most recognisable and popular faces of the modern company, having made his debut in the WWE almost a decade ago.

However, despite maintaining a good rapport with many paying fans, Punk surprisingly disappeared from our screens several weeks ago with little explanation given for his absence other than chairman and CEO Vince McMahon admitting that he was 'taking a sabbatical'.

While some fans appear to maintain hope that he will return prior to Wrestlemania XXX at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans next month, that looks unlikely with the card filling up quickly.

Punk is set to appear on 'The Talking Dead' on Sunday night alongside the likes of Yvette Nicole Brown and Melissa McBride.
