Arsenal's record-signing Mesut Ozil is expected to be out for about six weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury against Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League tie.
The Daily Mail claim that the former Real Madrid star faces a race against time to be fit for the FA Cup semi-final clash against Wigan Athletic at Wembley to be played on April 12.
Ozil is believed to have played in pain for the first 45 minutes at Allianz Arena, before forced to be taken off at the half time break. Arsenal were knocked out of the this season's Champions League on the night by Bayern, by way of an aggregate score of 3-1.
The German international has been in a disappointing vein of form since the turn of the New Year. The 25-year-old displayed a note-worthy performance against Everton at the weekend in a 4-1 win at the Emirates before failing to impress in his native country to overcome Arsenal's 2-0 deficit against the Bundesliga champions.
The north London club will utterly miss the absence of their £42million man for the crunch clashes this month. Arsenal will host local rivals Tottenham Hotspurs this weekend, while they travel to Stamford Bridge on March 22 to face title favourites Chelsea, before competing against Manchester City on March 29.
