This is the incredible story of Caron Butler who was selling drugs at the age of 12 and is now a 12-year veteran in the NBA.

There are many unbelievable anecdotes about the life of Butler before basketball, he was a paperboy selling cocaine and was arrested 15 times by the age of 15-years old.

Butler recently signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder to join superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Butler is now a 12-year veteran in the NBA having being drafted into the league in 2002 by the Miami Heat, he was selected 10th overall but only stayed in Miami for two years.

How everything could've been different for the 6 ft 7 inch small forward had he redirected his life path whilst being incarcerated in prison at the age of 14.

It wouldn't be foolish to believe that Butler could've been one of those "what-if" stories of wasted talent, but fortunately for Butler he attended college at Connecticut and even won an NBA championship as part of the 2011 Dallas Mavericks.

Watch this incredible story of Caron Butler who luckily managed to capitalise on his basketball talents and make it to the NBA.
