Faversham Town will return to action at the Shepherd Neame Stadium this weekend against basement-boys Eastbourne.

The Lilywhites had mixed fortunes in their past two away matches against two of the Ryman South's top five, as they responded from defeat at Folkestone to beat Leatherhead.

Wednesday's 3-1 win moved the home team within four points of fifth-placed Hastings United, albeit the Us have two games in hand.

Eastbourne sit bottom of the table and have only picked up one point - against Herne Bay- from their last six games.

However, the home team will be wary not to underestimate their opponents after defeat against second bottom Corinthian Casuals two weeks ago. Plus, Folkestone were pushed all the way in their 3-2 victory against Eastbourne.

The previous meeting between the sides this season was one to remember. The Lilywhites eventually came on top in a 6-3 epic which also saw Tom Hickman hobble off with an ankle injury.

Jack Harris will rejoin parent club Maidstone United, while the hosts are likely to be without Jamie Maxted, who suffered an ankle injury of his own.

But Renford Tenyue and David Botterill could return after missing Wednesday's victory against Leatherhead through work commitments and illness respectively.
