Manchester United boss David Moyes has revealed that Javier Hernandez, Jonny Evans and Rafael are in contention to take on Liverpool on Sunday, reports the club's official website

The Red Devils go into the game in desperate need of securing all three points at Old Trafford, with the club currently 11 points behind Brendan Rodgers' side.

Manchester United are in great danger of missing out on Champions League qualification this season and must pick up a victory on Sunday.

And, the United boss has been given a boost, as defensive duo Evans and Rafael could feature against the Merseyside outfit.

Speaking to reporters in his pre-match press conference, the Manchester United boss said: “Rafael, Javier Hernandez and Jonny Evans are all coming along. They all have a chance of playing on Sunday.”

Rafael played a key role in Manchester United's 3-0 win against West Brom in their last outing and could start at full-back this weekend. Meanwhile Evans may have to settle for a place on the bench after Phil Jones and Chris Smalling also impressed against the Baggies.

And Manchester United fans will be hoping that Mexican striker Hernandez is at least handed a place on the bench for the visit of Liverpool this weekend.
