Steve Smith has swapped Carolina for Baltimore today after joining up with the Ravens, per reports.
ESPN reporter Ian Rapoport broke the story earlier today and it seems Smith will join the Ravens on a three year deal rumored to be worth $10.5 million.
After thirteen seasons with the Panthers Smith, perhaps their greatest ever player, was let go yesterday in an unharmonious split.
The veteran will add experience to the Ravens roster and, having averaged 75 catches over the past nine season, has plenty of talent to offer too despite his age.
After apparently citing a poor relationship with Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman as a reason for leaving the team, Smith will have the opportunity to exact revenge during the 2014 off season with the Ravens and Panthers set to meet.
It had been expected that Smith would visit the New England Patriots also before making a decision on his future but it looks like the Ravens did a good job persuading the five-time Pro Bowler.
