Another of the least memorable finals we have seen, Bayern Munich and Valencia managed to draw 1-1, with the Germans eventually revailing on spot kicks, with no goals from open play.

It was a poor final and Carsten Jancker was introduced at half time as a tactical measure, though he was never much good for anything other than the simplest of tacttics - get it in the box.

One story remembered fondly about the big forward was when he scored for his country at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea, where his angry-faced enthusiastic celebrations reportedly scared women and children in the crowd.
