Manchester United transfer target Koke is set to disappoint Chelsea and refuse to be included in a swap deal for Thibaut Courtois, as he is content to stay put for now.
According to The Express, Atletico Madrid have offered the Stamford Bridge club a chance to sign Koke or Diego Costa in exchange for making the loan move for Courtois, currently in its third season, permanent this summer.
However, the report also claims Manchester United are keeping track of the Spain international and could be ready to step in if Atletico make him available. However, Old Trafford boss and his counterpart at Chelsea, Jose Mourinho, look likely to be disappointed in this particular chase.
Koke has insisted he is happy at the Vicente Calderon and is not thinking about leaving any time soon. The 22-year-old's current deal runs out in 2018 and he has told the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United to forget about signing him.
"I have a long contract and I am not thinking about leaving," he told Minuto 116, according to the Express report.
"Atletico is my home. I am happy that [manager, Diego] Simeone has confidence in me and I want to keep working for him for many years."
Manchester United are reportedly set to embark of a significant summer spending spree and look desperate need of some more quality. Sunday saw them comprehensively beaten 3-0 by rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in what could be the lowest point of Moyes' reign so far.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have a quandary on their hands as Petr Cech is still the undisputed number one at Stamford Bridge, but Courtois' progress over the last few seasons will be tempting them to give him an opportunity.
