The worlds of football and amateur rap collide again with results not seen since John Barnes’s sensational Anfield Rap.
OK, maybe not. But Ronaldinho rapping over a saxophone solo is something we’re definitely going to watch again and again.
Admittedly, it may not be for the reasons Ronaldinho hoped - it all looks a little awkward to us - but each to their own.
The Brazilian number 10 was spotted at Carnival in Salvador earlier this year rapping, dancing and generally partying hard before failing to turn up on time to training the next day with Atletico Mineiro.
And as his magnificent career winds down, it seems he’s lining up a nice little musical side project to keep things ticking along.
Anyway, so here’s the low-down on Ronaldinho’s debut track. It features Dennis DJ and is called Jogo O Copo Pro Alto - translated as “Play the Cup Up High.”
We assume that cup is not the Copa America, seeing as most of the lyrics refer to drinking, getting drunk and partying.
Yes, Ronaldinho was one of the greatest players of the modern professional era.
