Chelsea handed Luiz injury boost

Chelsea have been handed a major boost ahead of tomorrow night's Champions League clash against Galatasaray.

The Blues go into the last 16 second leg against the Turkish giants level at 1-1, and they may well have David Luiz available for selection after his recent injury troubles.

After missing out against both Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa in the Premier League, the versatile Brazilian centre back returned to training on Monday morning.

It remains to be seen whether he can force his way into the side on a big night at Stamford Bridge, with John Terry and Gary Cahill forming a strong partnership despite the defeat at the weekend.

One player who is unlikely to feature on Tuesday night however, is Ashley Cole. The England full-back was not in the squad that lost to the Villains on Saturday, and didn't train on Monday morning ahead of the crucial European clash.

Cole is battling a muscle problem with the Blues, and has only made one appearance since January. That came for England, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho regularly preferring Cesar Azpilicueta ahead of the veteran.

His continued absence could give Tomas Kalas a chance in the side for the Stamford Bridge outfit however, and Mourinho does have options ahead of the crucial clash with Gala.
