Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has landed a part in the hotly-anticipated Entourage Movie, with CBS Sports confirming the news that the Superbowl champion will feature in a cameo of the big-screen spin-off alongside Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier.
Wilson has enjoyed a varied off-season since wrapping up Superbowl success with the Seahawks in February, including trying his hand at baseball at the Texas Rangers' spring camp.
The 25-year-old will now add acting to a bursting CV, with Entourage star Jeremy Piven sharing a photo of the rising NFL star on set via Instagram last weekend.
NFL legend Tom Brady has also previously starred in the HBO hit series and was spotted on set in the last 24 hours, fuelling rumours that he will join the razor-sharp look at life in Hollywood, which is expected to hit the big screen in 2015.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones also appeared in season six of the television series, which was well known for its cameos from sports stars.
UFC champion Chuck Liddell and Masters winner Phil Mickelson were also guests on the comedy, while current women's bantamweight UFC queen Ronda Rousey is widely reported to be another current sports star to play a small part in the movie.
