Klay Thompson is an exceptional shooting guard. One of the hardest working players in the game and can put great numbers on both the defensive and offensive end.

Known for his great shooting and calibration with Stephen Curry, Thompson is overlooked for his great defense and hard work. In an article written by fellow GMS contributor, it is shown that Klay Thompson has traveled 164 miles overall this season. Ranking him 4th in the league.

After looking at those numbers, it was almost certain that Thompson wouldn't comeback after missing a game due to his grandfather's death and not pour in his heart into the game. The Warriors went as far as to trail by 18 against the blazers, but the game was far from over as Curry and Thompson heated up.

They combined for 51 in the second half and Thompson hit the last two threes in the final minute to see the Warriors just crawl over the line and take the game by one point. He was also able to get a block on Damian Lillard in the dying seconds but it led to Batum getting free throws.

Thompson had played 214 consecutive games prior to Friday night, in which he missed out on to go to his grandfathers funeral. It shows how great of a kid Klay is and how far he could go in the NBA with an attitude like that.

He is already breaking records and making statements. Only three years in the league. He could help take the Warriors to new heights and with great improvement be part of a championship team in the coming years.
