Arsenal completeD a gritty 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane on Sunday to reinvigorate their title push, but how did each player get on?

Wojciech Szczesny - 5

The Polish goalkeeper was sloppy at times, gifting Nacer Chadli a simple chance soon into the first half. May find his spot under threat from Lukasz Fabianski in coming weeks.

Bacary Sagna - 6

Worked hard against Chadli down Arsenal's right and would have had a great chance to score but for Giroud's clumsy pass.

Per Mertesacker - 7

A brilliant performance by the big German, who looked assured in defence and had a good shot saved by Hugo Lloris. His partnership with Koscielny is getting better every game.

Laurent Koscielny - 9

The Frenchman barely put a foot wrong all game. He won nearly every header and made a crucial goal-line stop from Chadli. Man of the Match.

Kieran Gibbs - 6

Forced to defend more than he is used to, but Gibbs looked comfortable against Andros Townsend. An outside bet for the plane to Brazil.

Mikel Arteta - 7

Defended very well and, as always, his passing was fantastic. He slipped under the radar a bit but worked very hard.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - 6

Not the sort of performance we have come to expect from him in recent weeks, but he looked very bright on the counter-attack and should have scored in the first half.

Santi Cazorla - 6

Was forced to play deeper than he likes, but covered a lot of ground and worked exceptionally hard. Posed little attacking threat but his game is not played on the counter-attack.

Tomas Rosicky - 7

Scored an outstanding goal after just 72 seconds which proved to be the winner. Put in a typically gritty display before being replaced.

Lukas Podolski - 6

Younes Kaboul and Kyle Naughton looked troubled by Podolski's speed and presence, but he never really found a goal-scoring opportunity other than a skewed second-half strike.

Olivier Giroud - 4

Poor. Giroud was one of the worst players on the pitch and did not offer an outlet up front.

If Arsenal had signed a goalscorer like Luis Suarez or Diego Costa in the summer they would be in a much better position than they are now.

Subs:

Mathieu Flamini - 6

Replaced Rosicky and marshalled the midfield as always.

Nacho Monreal - 5

Came on as a second left-back to shield Gibbs near the end.

Thomas Vermaelen - 5

Little time to make an impact.
