Aaron Ramsey has signed a new contract at Arsenal until 2018.
His re-signing is one of four other contract extensions at the north London club, as Tomas Rosicky, Santi Cazorla, Gedion Zelalem and Per Mertesacker have all also recently pledged their future to Arsenal.
The Welsh star commented on his signing, telling the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have signed a new contract. I've been here for six years and I'm so happy.
"I think we've shown so far this season what we're all about and the direction that this club wants to go in. I want to be a part of that, and to be a part of something special at Arsenal. We have a great team which we believe can achieve great things."
Arsenal fans will be delighted with this news as Ramsey has been in stunning form this season putting in great performances game-after-game and scoring eight goals in 18 games for the Gunners.
He is currently injured and is hoping for a late March return. When he does come back, Arsenal fans will be hoping that he can recapture his old form immediately by scoring or assisting a few as the club enter the final hurdle of the race for the Premier League title.
It is certainly a great sign that the club are heading in the right direction as they are looking to hold onto some of their key players and not sell them off to other clubs as they have done in the past.
With one or two more signings in the pipeline, Arsenal's fortunes are looking to change for the better.
