Oakland Raiders finally get an offensive tackle

Published Add your comment

The Oakland Raiders have reportedly got a man in to take over their left tackle position on their Offensive Line after the signing of Donald Penn.

Penn is the second name to be linked with a deal with the Raiders this off-season but after their pursuit of Rodger Saffold fell apart due to Saffold failing a physical Penn may be their number one choice.

Penn has spent the last seven seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was released by the NFC side following their signing of Anthony Collins.

Despite signing a six-year-deal with Tampa Bay, Penn was released and could now be going to Oakland to sure up their offensive line options.

The left tackle position is the main hole that the Raiders organization are looking to fill and as they seem desperate to move past the Suffold fiasco Penn seems like a viable option.

Despite having a shaky start to free agency, the Raiders and General Manager Reggie McKenzie have made several solid signings in the form of James Jones, LaMar Woodley, Austin Howard and Justin Tuck.
