Oregon Ducks will not wear LeBron James shoes in NCAA

Over 60 percent of the NCAA field will be kitted out in Nike branded products with March Madness upon us, with 45 of the teams set to wear the uniforms of the American sportswear giants. Oregon Ducks, meanwhile, will be given special treatment with their whole team set to lace up custom LeBron James 11 shoes…or will they?

Oregon guard Joseph Young shared a picture on his official Instagram on Monday showing some Nike LeBron 11 shoes in the green, white and gold colours of the Ducks, which led to reports that all their players will be wearing them in their NCAA opener against BYU on Thursday.

However, it would appear that this will not be the case. The official Twitter of the Oregon Ducks kit room picked up on a report claiming the LeBron 11s would get their debut versus BYU, and moved to extinguish the suggestion.

The tweet stated: “Sorry, this is incorrect.”

So, what does this mean? Is it just Young who will be wearing the LeBron sneakers in custom colours? Or will the Ducks be rolling them out for the whole squad later in the tournament?

We will have to wait and see on this one.
