Arsenal have set out a stall that other clubs will be desperate to repeat over the last few weeks, signing some of their most experienced players and star performers to new contracts, with a long-term vision for taking a settled side on to silverware.

Throughout the top flight there are players with contracts running out over the next three of four seasons, leaving top clubs with impending decisions to make, does strong form merit fresh terms or will they look to recruit from elsewhere?

GMS has decided to profile 10 stars who could be taken straight out of any transfer rumour mill with a bumper new contract this summer, before judging whether the club will indeed opt to enter talks or leave doubt to linger over one of their most important players.

This is of course all based on opinion and how each club has handled contract negotiations on the whole in recent seasons, so if you don't agree feel free to comment and engage a debate about your favourite player!
