UFC star Rousey expresses love for CM Punk

UFC fighter Ronda Rousey has explained how she descended into a babbling wreck when she first encountered WWE superstar CM Punk, with the bantamweight champion telling Punk that she was in love with him.

CM Punk has kept a low-profile since his shock departure from the WWE after the Royal Rumble but, reveals Rousey, she was afforded a meeting with the popular wrestler last month after UFC 170. And, as reported by Inquisitr, Rousey - who has never lost a UFC bout - responded to meeting CM Punk in a way that was “terrible and not smooth at all”.

Speaking at a weigh-in ahead of UFC 171, Rousey explained how the first thing she said to CM Punk was "I love you", and it has not been made clear if the longest-reigning WWE champion of the modern era returned the pleasantries.

CM Punk is currently taking a sabbatical from the WWE having reportedly told Vince McMahon he needed to 'go home'. After Punk did not appear in the first post-Rumble RAW and Smackdown shows, it became apparent that he would not be returning.

It is unclear if or when the 35-year-old will come back to the WWE, with Punk making no reference to a potential return during a long-awaited TV interview earlier this week.
