Former NBA center Ben Wallace has been released from jail after a 16 hours stint spent behind bars, according to TMZ Sports.
Wallace was arrested for a hit-and-run incident in February, and on Tuesday he was sentenced to a year behind bars, but the judge decided he should only have to serve two days in total.
He was charged for leaving the scene of an accident after he was involved in a crash. The SUV that he was driving at the time crashed into a fence before he fled the scene on February 8th.
Wallace retired from the NBA in 2012 after a stint three-year stint with the Detroit Pistons.
The powerful center also spent time at plenty of other teams across the league playing ball in Washington, Orlando, Chicago and Cleveland.
Wallace went undrafted in 1996, but he established himself eventually as one of the most dominant defensive players and rebounders throughout a strong career.
