Tottenham have fresh injury problems ahead of their away clash against Benfica in the second leg of their Europa League match, as they attempt to overcome a 3-1 home loss sustained against the Portuguese club last week.
Amongst the list of casualties are the bulk of Tottenham's first choice centre-backs, with Younes Kaboul, Michael Dawson, Jan Vertonghen and Vlad Chiriches all unavailable for tomorrow's game.
As well as this, Etienne Capoue, Erik Lamela, and Mousa Dembélé are also sidelined with recurring injuries, and the bad news doesn't end there for Spurs. Two other first-team regulars, goal-scoring revelation Emmanuel Adebayor and Paulinho have missed the trip to Portugal and will not feature.
'Keeper Hugo Lloris has stayed at home, lining up Brad Friedel to start tomorrow whilst Kyle Walker has got a groin complaint which means he will also miss the match at the Estadio da Luz.
Tottenham are looking to bring in seven fresh faces that have yet to play in the Europa League this season to compensate for the amount of missing players.
Andros Townsend remained optimistic, saying: "We've nothing to lose.
"We're two goals behind from the home leg, so we can go there, have a go and see what happens."
