The five most memorable March Madness moments (3)

4) Michael Jordan and that pass

Football News

Michael Jordan's game winning shot in 1982 finally gave coach Dean Smith his first national championship in 21 attempts.

Just a freshman at the time, MJ knocked down a jump shot from the left hand side with 17 seconds on the clock and his team trailing by one against Georgetown.

What happened next is just as memorable.

With Georgetown seeking to respond, guard Fred Brown inadvertently gave the ball back to North Carolina when he passed to James Worthy instead of a team mate.

The Tar Heels couldn't lose it from there.
