Manchester United star Nani was spotted by fans at a bowling alley in Manchester just hours before his team were set to kick-off against Olympiakos in the second-leg of their round of 16 Champions league tie, which they entered trailing 2-0 on aggregate.
While David Moyes' team successfully over-turned the deficit, winning 3-0 on Wednesday evening, putting them through on aggregate, Nani was busy posing for pictures at the All Star Lanes bowling alley, in the Deansgate area.
Nani, who was predicted to return from a hamstring injury that has kept the winger out since December, was not even included in the match day squad and therefore failed to add to the meagre eight games that he has played for United this term.
Nani signed a new five-year contract at United in September, presumably to stop him leaving at the end of the season on a free transfer. However, he was increasingly becoming a bit-part player towards the end of Sir Alex Ferguson's reign and has so far failed to cement a place within Moyes' preferred starting 11.
Nani has recently been tipped for a move to Italy, with a host of Serie A clubs interested in his services. While Inter Milan's sports director, Piero Ausilio, is currently is England after watching the Champions league match between Chelsea and Galatasaray, he didn't get the chance to judge the Nerazzurri target on anything other than his bowling abilities.
