India vs Pakistan always represents a heated rivalry, intense with hard fought battles, and each team trying to outshine one another.

History tells us that no matter which of the two have been at those low ebbs, they have always fought hard. The truth is that the game isn’t played keeping in mind their capabilities, because they play beyond their limits in this immense battle.

Whoever emerges victorious is literally on the top of the world whereas the loser is left with utter disappointment, such is the intensity of an India-Pakistan game.

And talking about the celebrations, fireworks can be seen all around the winning country and people burst out with seemingly uncontrollable emotions.

Leading into this tournament, the side with more worries of course is India. They have had their problems with the opening partners who have been presenting a rather louche kind of image over a few months which leaves Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina with too much work with Yuvraj Singh not showing any good signs too.

On the other hand, fast bowlers have continued to get whacked; spinners though have been excellent and have always been the key to the Men in Blue’s success.

However, the worry lies in the fact that Pakistan are potentially good players of spin and thrash the spinners in all parts of the ground.

So, that leaves India in a situation where they themselves don’t know about what is their strength. Pakistan have just been confounding and the infallibility of their plans surely makes them the hot favourite. Mohammad Hafeez, Akmal Brothers, Shahid Afridi, they are all in form whereas Saeed Ajmal, Umar Gul, Junaid Khan, Sohail Tanvir haven’t been short of form too.

Three dangerous spinners, a quality seam attack and an in-form batting order having all the “firepower” to rip the opponent apart, how good is this?

For India to beat their arch-rivals, it’ll take something special to be able to do so.

Players to watch out (India): Yuvraj Singh: The sixer king Yuvraj Singh is making a comeback into the Indian side after being out of action for a long time and it seems ages since he played. He really is vying to prove a point here. To be honest, he is the one who can tackle Ajmal the best which he did prove in India’s most recent T20 against Pakistan when he hit the spinner for 3 consecutive sixes and ended up on 72 off just 36 deliveries. Surely, if he can tackle Ajmal, he can tackle anyone.

Suresh Raina: Another player making a comeback into the Indian side. After a dip in form, he was kicked out of the squad for Asia Cup and now he has been selected again. The left-hander has been India’s most consistent T20 batsman over the years and has shown good form in the warm-up games too. Surely, if March 21 is his day, Pakistan could be derailed.

Virat Kohli: He never seems to get out of form does he? Mr. Consistent has this lad been for India for, say, 3 years now. He has been playing some terrific bit of Cricket in all parts of the world and has proved to be a headache for captains. Pakistan surely have got to get him out early otherwise he could tame them in the end.

Pakistan: Shahid Afridi: “Boom-Boom Afridi”, the name suggests it all in the case of this man, one the finest all-rounder that the world has ever seen. May it be bat or ball; he can win a match with either thing in his hands. He has been in scintillating form of late after he pulled off a stunning victory against India and then bludgeoned Bangladesh with some seriously brutal hitting. If its his day, mark my words, “Its no one’s day but only his.”

Akmal Brothers: One of the most dangerous brothers in the cricketing world. They have often proved to be crucial for Pakistan’s success, no matter what format it is. Known to be one of the cleanest hitters of the Cricket ball, the “In-form” Akmals would surely have the eyes of the world on them.

Saeed Ajmal: Currently, the best spinner in the world is this man. He has often proved out to be a nightmare for every single batsman because of the fact that it is extremely hard to read him. His “Doosra and Teesra” are well known to scare the hell out of batsmen. There isn’t any solution to him actually. The Indian batsmen would surely have to come out with some plans to face him.

So, the stage is all set for the rivals to unleash themselves on the big occasion. Keeping apart the result, the World T20 opener promises to be an excellent contest. Hold on to your imaginations folks.
