1: David de Gea - Manchester United

One of the shining lights in an utterly dark season for the reigning Premier League champions, De Gea's performances between the sticks have at times stopped things from getting truly embarrassing.

The Spaniard endured a tough start to life in Manchester but over the last two years he's really come into his own. Despite this he hasn't been classed in the same bracket as the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie or even Adnan Januzaj.

With him being a 'keeper it's understandable that sometimes his heroics are considered par for the course, but when it's considered that he's probably been United's best player this year, it's absurd that he hasn't been credited with the recognition he is worthy of.
