When you get praise from The Rock you can be happy with your free agency work.
And today the Seattle Seahawks received the respect of the legendary WWE star turned actor.
After reports claimed the reigning Super Bowl champions had added Jared Allen to their roster Johnson took to Twitter to show his delight:
"Just heard Jared Allen's a SEAHAWK. Very happy for that beast... #DefenseWinsChampionships," he told his followers.
Johnson is right about that, the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl last year largely due to their imposing defensive unit and the arrival of Allen from the Minnesota Vikings will only make that stronger.
The Seahawks led the NFL last season in fewest points and yards allowed and the addition of a five-time Pro Bowler to the roster will delight coach Pete Carroll just as much as Johnson we'd suspect.
The Rock isn't speaking on a subject totally out of his comfort zone.
Before choosing to follow a career in professional wrestling, Johnson himself played football in college, lining up at defensive tackle for the 1991 national championship winning Miami Hurricanes.
Allen himself finished last season with 52 tackles and 11.5 sacks in 2013.
