Usually a 28-minute tennis match ends when one player cannot continue do to injury.

That wasn't the case in the first round of the Sony Open in Miami, where Jarkko Nieminen of Finald dispatched of Australian Bernard Tomic 6-1, 6-0 in just 28 minutes.

Its the shortest complete ATP match, since the ATP started keeping match times in 1991.

It was the first match for Tomic in two months. He missed the time due to surgery on both hips. 

After the match Tomic said, "Hopefully in a little bit of time I can get back to 100 percent. It's not easy, but I'm trying, doing everything and trying my best to get there."

Elsewhere in first round action at the Sony Open, world number-seven Maria Sharapova won her first round match. 

Sharapova have been a finalist at the event five times, but has yet to win in Miami.
