The keenly-anticipated draw for the quarter-finals of this season's Champions League was made in Nyon, Switzerland this morning, with Manchester United's reward for reaching the final eight a daunting two-legged affair against holders Bayern Munich.

David Moyes' side - who have struggled so badly in the Premier League so far this season - produced a rousing comeback to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Greek champions Olympiacos at Old Trafford on Wednesday, but now face a truly formidable test against Pep Guardiola's dominant Bayern.

Chelsea were also handed a tough test in what some have labelled the most impressive quarter-final lineup in the tournament's history, with the Blues set to pit their wits against Zlatan Ibrahimovic and French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

First out of the hat were La Liga champions Barcelona. With speculation continuing to persist over the future of manager Gerardo Martino, they will come up against fellow Spaniards Atletico Madrid.

While their two biggest domestic rivals were drawn against one another, Real Madrid were handed the perfect chance for revenge against Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund prevailed 4-3 over Real in the semi-finals of last season's Champions League and will presumably not relish another meeting given the extent of their recent injury struggles

Champions League: Quarter-final draw (in full):

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund

Paris Saint-Germain v Chelsea
