Last week, Jose Mourinho suggested that it was "laughable" that Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is yet to win a Premier League Player of the Month award, given his scintillating form at Stamford Bridge this season.
The Belgium international missed out on February's accolade to former Blues striker Daniel Sturridge, who has turned in a series of impressive performances for Liverpool in recent weeks.
Hazard, though, has been a revelation since arriving in England in a a £32million deal in 2012, and has taken his game to another level under the tutelage of Mourinho.
The Portuguese coach has previously suggested that the former Lille star has the ability to rival Messrs Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and is already the best player in world football under the age of 24.
But, despite the growing list of superlatives being thrown the 23-year-old's way, the fact remains that Hazard continues to be overlooked by the 40-strong Premier League panel appointed to assess and acknowledge the personal contribution of players in England's top-flight.e
