In a recent poll conducted by Barclays, Manchester United topped the standings for the best vocal support away from home this season.

The LMA survey which was centred around fans of the Premier League was part of the Barclays 'Thank You' campaign.

Manchester United lead the way with 29% of the votes, with Liverpool close behind on 23%. With two northern clubs top of the ratings, third was midland's club Aston Villa who gained 12% of the votes with manager Paul Lambert earning some good results recently.

From the remaining top sides, Chelsea and Manchester City both earned 6% of the votes, matching Newcastle United, Swansea and West Ham in joint fourth position. Barclays have sponsored the Premier League since 2004 with their current deal expiring at the end of the 2015/16 season.

The campaign aims to reward fans with prizes such as access to players, with the sponsor also releasing an advert that followed real life fans on the way to a game to show appreciation for their continued support.
