Manchester United should not be written off - Toni Kroos

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has warned his teammates not to write off Manchester United's chances of pulling off a shock result.

The two sides will meet in the Champions League early next month - with the first leg taking place at Old Trafford on April 1.

Manchester United's chances appear to be slim due to the fact that they struggled to beat Olympiakos over two legs, while Champions League winners Bayern Munich comfortably defeated Arsenal.

Many are already tipping Bayern Munich to seal a place in the semi-finals, however Manchester United target Kroos believes his side would be stupid to underestimate the Premier League champions.

Kroos took to Facebook to warn his teammates about the upcoming tie between the two European giants.

"A very interesting draw for us!

"We shouldn't measure Man U by their current position in the English table.

"We need two top games to get to the semi-finals."

Manchester United fans will have the opportunity to see Kroos up close after months of speculation linking the creative midfielder with a £25million move to Old Trafford.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich will be hoping to become the first team to retain the Champions League, while Manchester United are looking to win their first European title since they lifted the prestigious trophy in 2008.
