Unai Emery's Sevilla disappointed their fans after losing the first leg match of Europa League tie against rivals Real Betis, 2-0.
Sevilla were favourites for the clash against their neighbours as they were playing the first match at home - the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.
Soon afterwards, Betis has proven them wrong and scored the only two goals in the match. They were expecting an easy home game in the second leg.
It was all but easy for them. Sevilla did the same as Betis in the first match, scoring two goals thanks to Jose Antonio Reyes and Carlos Bacca and making the game go to extra time. Luckily for penalty shoot-out lovers, extra time was scoreless and the manager had to decide which players will take the responsibility to shoot.
First Sevilla's penalty was missed by Vitolo. All of the other players succeeded in scoring until the fourth shooting round came along. N'Diaye was responsible for not putting the ball into Bastos's net.
Sevilla kept their cool and Spain's representative Alberto Moreno sealed another one in the net. Everything started to go downhill for the home team and again, the net of the away side remained untouched. For a complete comeback was responsible the captain Ivan Rakitić, who has scored the last penalty for an unexpected triumph.
